Nature of site
This is an independent project by through
Elevated Consulting, Inc. (ECI)
by Tony Coppoletta (ECI President) to help people be more informed about
things that might affect their commute.
It's those unexpected delays that frustrate people the most.
The hope in setting this up is that, by making it easier for people to see what
might affect their trip on transit, they'll be more empowered by knowing what to
expect and even being able to select alternate routes to minimize the impact of
delays and diversions.
Not associated with CTA
This site is not affiliated, endorsed, sponsored, or otherwise associated with, in any way, the Chicago Transit Authority.
The name "Chicago Transit Authority," as well as "CTA" and its logos are registered trademarks of the Chicago Transit Authority, an independent governmental agency created by the State of Illinois. This site recognizes these
trademarks and both here and throughout the site does its best to make it clear that we are not sanctioned or a part of CTA.
Source data
This site reports on the status of the CTA system to attempt to help riders be more aware of situations that might affect their commute, in hopes to help people have a better experience while using public transit, in one, easy-to-read location.
The information we post comes from a variety of sources,
including publicly-posted information from CTA, observations by the ridership,
and anywhere else we can legally obtain information.
We also may post the experiences and thoughts of the contributors to this Web site, in the form of a journal/Web log/"blog," in addition to reporting on upcoming and current items that may impact a rider's trip.
Content Submissions
If you choose to submit information to add to this site, you are certifying to us and warranting that you have the legal ownership or rights to freely distribute whatever materials you provide to us, that they will not damage or harm anyone in any
way, and that information you provide is truthful, accurate, and reasonably complete.
All content that you submit will be credited to you as the person who holds the copyright, and we will not further distribute that content outside of the site without your permission.
And on that note...
Copyright information
This site's authors provides their own content for display on the site, and accepts submissions from willing contributors. All information, content, and services provided through
this site is copyrighted by ECI, except those items

No material from this Web site may be reproduced, distributed or redistributed, copied, or utilized in any way without explicit permission from

or any other medium.
Indemnity clause
By using this Web site, you agree to indemnify and hold ECI, the site administrators, contributors, and other parties involved in the production of this Web site harmless and free from liability for damages, losses of income or profit, real,
effective or theoretical,
direct or indirect, from the use of this Web site or the information contained within. No guarantees are made on the accuracy or currency of any of the information used within the site.
(In other words, if you are late for work and get in trouble, don't blame us for not having been able to warn you that your train was going to be delayed an hour--we simply can't know of everything that is happening on a system that a)
we are not employed by, b) are not provided information from in any official manner, and c) happens to carry over a million people daily, literally over more than 2,300 miles of bus and rail routes.
It's just too much for one or two people to handle.)
We do our best to provide accurate information, but are not perfect and are bound to make
some mistakes and omissions.
Terms subject to change
The terms of this use agreement are subject to change at any time.

*Helpful note: If you need up-to-date travel information, want specific recommendations on schedules or routing, we suggest you use the RTA Trip Planner, which is an automated system that recommends trips based on a variety of
information for people using transit in Chicagoland, and includes CTA, Metra, and Pace schedules in its database, the three agencies under the RTA umbrella.
